Since our 2008 Etsy shop days, we take pride in handmaking high-quality products that are easy on the environment and your wallet. Our team based in Los Angeles develops unique scents inspired by personal memories into home goods that elevate your everyday. The result is luxury fragrance you can feel good about.
All of our ingredients are thoughtfully sourced to create safe, sustainable products that are vegan, cruelty-free, phthalate-free, and never tested on animals.
All of our candles are made with 100% domestically-grown soy wax and cotton core wicks. Our Classic + Sunset products are made using a blend of fine fragrance oils that consist of natural and man-made materials.

Great question! We use a premium blend of man-made and natural fragrances for both our Classic and Sunset lines, as they 1) allow us to create more complex scent profiles; 2) are oftentimes, more sustainable to produce; and, 3) allow us to offer our products at accessible price points.
Our products are designed to elevate - not overpower - your everyday. Because of this, their scent throw will be more intimate than other products on the market. To ensure your space is well-scented, we suggest using each product in the appropriately-sized space.
Small Spaces: 3.5 oz Mini Candles and Room & Linen Sprays (best used on linens!).
Medium Spaces: 7.2 oz Standard Candles, 10 oz Sunset Candles, Classic and Sunset Reed Diffusers.
Large Spaces: 12.5 oz Large Candles, Classic Incense and Sunset Incense Cones. We might also suggest burning two or more 7.2 oz or 10 oz candles at a time in larger spaces.
Products need love too! To care for our candles, trim the candle’s wick to 1/4” before or after every burn session and allow the candle to burn for 3-4 hour intervals, or until a full melt pool has formed. For more in-depth care tips, check out the How to Use section of any candle product listing.
To prolong the lifespan of our reed diffusers, keep them out of direct contact with sunlight, heat and humidity, and flip the reeds weekly, or when the fragrance becomes faint.
To help control the strength and prolong the life of car fragrances, we recommend keeping the cellophane on the product and slowly exposing a small portion of the freshener every week or so. Please be mindful that your Car Freshener avoids contact from textiles and finished surfaces, as well as placing car fragrances to the side of the steering wheel for less exposure to direct sunlight.
Our other products care for themselves, but that doesn’t mean you can’t say “I love you” every once in a while.

We're also happy to announce that we've launched a Candle Jar Recycling Program at our Los Angeles shops located in Echo Park and Culver City! We currently accept clean 7.5oz glass jars and Sunset metal candle tins. For every 3 jars recycled, you'll receive 1 punch on your punch card and once you reach 10 punches, you can redeem the punch card for a free Standard Candle (instore only)! We'll recycle the donated jars to reuse during our Development Team's testing processes, which will help to cut down on the amount of new jars needed for candle testing. The recycled jars won't make their way into new inventory but they're an important part of our ongoing testing to ensure our candles (and jars) burn safely.
Our development and production calendars are unfortunately booked at this time and we are unable to take on additional custom projects. We do not manufacture white label products.
At P.F., we love our animals as much as you do, and our products are formulated to be generally safe to use in households shared with pets. Our products are not tested on animals, but we always recommend using them as directed according to our warning labels. Keep your P.F products out of reach from pets (and children too!) since certain essential oils can irritate the skin or be toxic to some animal breeds. Smaller animals can be especially sensitive to their environments— please use caution using fragranced products around them. If you have questions or concerns about using P.F. products around your pet, please consult your veterinarian for the best advice regarding your furry friend.
We set high standards about the ingredients we use because we know you’re using our products around people you love; we only produce what we'd personally use at home with our own families. Like all household products, make sure to use ours as directed and keep out of reach of pets + children. If you have any concerns, we recommend consulting with your physician or healthcare professional prior to using to ensure you and your little one are safe.
You bet! Just select the "pickup" option at checkout. Once your order is ready we will email you a confirmation, usually within 1 hour of placing the order.
All orders placed before 6pm are ready same-day within 1 hour; orders placed after 6pm are ready the following business day. We are open 7 days a week, 11am to 7pm.

In light of COVID-19, it’s extremely important for us to share with our community what we’re doing at P.F. Candle Co. to keep both our staff and our customers safe. Our warehouse and shops are being disinfected diligently and we are taking extra steps to ensure items and surfaces are being thoroughly disinfected and sanitized. We’re also washing our hands multiple times a day (and you should be too!) and wearing face coverings and gloves when handling orders.
All customers must wear a face covering when picking up orders or shopping in-store, even if you have already received your COVID vaccine. If you have any cold-related symptoms or are in contact with someone who does, please stay home and consider ordering online instead from pfcandleco.com.

P.F. products make perfect gifts for any occasion. Invoices are not included in orders, so gift recipients will not see the price of the order. As much as we love to include gift notes with online orders, we are currently unable to do so through our main website but we're working to change that soon.
In the meantime, our Culver City online store can add a personalized gift note into your order if you request it at checkout. Click "Select Store" on the top-right corner of our website to change your shopping experience to our Culver City online store, add the items you'd like to your shopping cart, then when you're ready to checkout, please leave a message that says "Gift Note Request" with exactly what you'd like your gift message to say under the "Special Instructions" field and we'll do our best to accommodate you! We're unable to do this for orders already previously ordered from our main online store.

Returns & Exchanges
If you’re not 100% satisfied with one of your P.F. Candle Co. products, we would love to help make that right! Please contact our Customer Care team at email@example.com within 30 days of receiving your order and we’ll help get the process started. We require a proof of purchase (e.g. your P.F. order number, order confirmation email, store receipt, etc).
If you're experiencing an issue with a P.F. product, please reach out within 48 hours of receiving your order and include photos with a detailed description in your email so that our team can determine how to best lend a helping hand.
NOTE: We are unable to cover any shipping fees. Discontinued items, limited edition/vault release items, gift cards, or items not produced by P.F. are final sale and not eligible for returns or exchanges.
